We’ve just returned to our respective homes after an inspirational week of lessons and masterclasses with some of the world’s most renowned musicians. We primarily had lessons with the incredible Thomas Adès, who gave us amazing guidance on the Quartets of Beethoven, Bartok, and Adès (himself!). Set in the idyllic south-western corner of the UK, Prussia Cove (near Penzance), it was the perfect antidote to city life, and a great chance to put some finishing touches on our preparations for the Wigmore Competition.
